A civil pleading (e.g. complaint) or a criminal indictment which contains several separate causes of action or crimes within the framework of one pleading. Joinder of multiple claims against opposing party is permitted under Fed.R.Civil P. 18. Joinder of offenses is provided for in Fed.R.Crim.P. 8
